“The resurrection of Jesus changes the face of death for all His people.
Death is no longer a prison, but a passage into God’s presence.
Easter says you can put Truth in a grave, but It won’t stay there.”
~Clarence W. Hall~

Here at your Lamppost, we are still (Word of the Week) BASKING in the glow and wonder of this Easter, so in celebration, we continue to feature some classics on this redemptive season. You’ll find them on our FEATURED BOOK SHELVES in front of the Grand Hall.

A shout out to some new arrivals, as well; one that I particularly like for our children (ages 8 and above) is the beautifully-illustrated picture book entitled The Garden Wall. a story of friendship and love based on I Corinthians 13 (the Bible “love” chapter) by Jennie Bishop (who wrote a couple of my other favorites, The Squire and the Scroll and The Princess and the Kiss: A Story of God’s Gift of Purity).

In adult fiction, a couple of series continuations: Behold the Man, Christian historical fiction by Bodie and Brock Thoene (pronounced TAY-NEE) and book three in the Jerusalem Chronicles series about Jesus’ pre-crucifixion encounter with Pilate, his wife, and a centurion.

Our ladies particularly will enjoy No Place to Hide, book three in Lynette Eason’s enjoyable Hidden Identity Christian fiction series.

And looking ahead, mark your calendars for a special BOOK AUTOGRAPHING on SUNDAY, APRIL 30 with NEPC’s own CHUCK and DEBBIE KEGLEY. More details in next week’s midweek.

Spring continues to “bust out all over,” and your Lamppost is going with that flow, filling our shelves with the finest in reading, listening, and viewing… all to light up your world by lighting your way to HIM… our Crucified and RISEN Savior, JESUS!

Come “check us out” this week!
