I love the way the King James puts Psalm 66:2.

“Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.”

Over here in the NEPC Music department, we want to make His praise glorious and we feel that music is one of the best gifts God has given us to worship Him. Not all worship involves music, but music is certainly an integral part of worshiping our Lord.

Primarily responsible to lead in contemporary worship services, the REACH Band works hard every year to make His praise glorious.

The REACH Band is an auditioned modern worship band that leads in contemporary worship weekly.  We also prepare two major worship events each year in the Fall and Spring seasons, one in early November and the other on Good Friday. These special nights of worship focus on congregational participation and are designed to take the worshiper on a journey of worshipful expression through songs, prayers, scripture reading, and other special musical elements.

Check out one of the excellent songs we’ll be sharing during this Fall’s worship event, written by Elevation Worship.

Do It Again is a song about God’s faithfulness through every season of our lives, whether we are experiencing victory right now or waiting for the next one. This is a powerful declaration of hope that we are excited to feature in November’s worship event.

If you are interested in being a part of the band, contact Jeremy Buzzard or Kerri Roberts to schedule an audition. We’ll ask you to prepare to sing or play a couple of worship songs. We are looking for people who are passionate about worship and have a high level of technical skill as well as musical expression appropriate for a contemporary musical context.

After your audition, you may be offered the opportunity to join the team on rotation or to receive further training as we help you grow in your gifts. We are interested in raising up new leaders and helping our entire team grow as both worshipers and leaders in worship. We are always looking for the opportunity to invest in the next generation of leaders.
