If Biblical/Historical Fiction is a favorite genre of yours, your librarian highly recommends this 5-book series by Lynn Austin. The series, “Chronicles of the Kings” tells the stories (with some artistic license) of OT characters Kings Ahab, Hezekiah, Manasseh, and Joshua.
It’s the Lamppost Pick of the Week and you’ll find it on the shelves nearest the Grand Hall restrooms outside the Childrens’ Wardrobe!

The Lampost Summer Reading Club Ice Cream Celebration!

Click on side arrows to scroll through the pictures below and see the wonderful time that was had by all as the Lamppost celebrated our congregation’s younger readers at our 2023 SUMMER READING CLUB ICE CREAM CELEBRATION! We ate SCRUMPTOUS ice cream, played a HUGE round of BINGO, colored some, guessed at an ice cream flavor, took some family pictures, and awarded our GRAND PRIZES! Congratulations to ELIOTT ANDERSON and JOHN SCOTT, winners of our Books-A-Million gift cards and to ANNA KLOSTERMAN, who won the KINDLE! But all who read this summer are the REAL WINNERS as our kids read almost 50,000 PAGES this summer! Well, well done, young readers! God willing, see you next year. Keep reading!

What Is The Lamppost?

Did you know that NEPC has a wonderful library for adults and children right in the heart of our campus?  It’s called The Lamppost and we’re located right inside the Atrium! We’re open every time the church doors are open and look forward to serving your reading, viewing, or listening needs.
