“Never judge a book by its movie.”
– J.W. Eagan –

Truth! Nine times out of ten, your librarian has found the BOOK to be a thousand times better!

HOWEVER, there are some exemptions…and the movie we are showing for CHURCH FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24th is a rare exception!

Mark your calendars for FEBRUARY 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium and join us for the family-friendly flick, “The Secret Life of Pets.” It’s a crowd pleaser!

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., movie begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. Admission is FREE, so bring your family, a ton of your friends, and something to sit/lie on (blankets/chairs,/sleeping bags) and have a night out on us.

We’ll also have refreshments…drinks, candy and popcorn… for sale CHEAP, and proceeds benefit our wonderful KIDS’ MINISTRY here at Northeast.

All of our CHURCH FAMILY MOVIE NIGHTS have been (Word of the Week) SOCKEROOS, and this one will be no different!

Of course, we are primarily in the business of good READING, so be sure and browse our shelves next time you’re at church.

New arrivals in for adults include: Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles that Can Radically Change Your Family by perennial favorite Paul David Tripp and The Broken Way: A Daring Path into the Abundant Life by one of my favorites, Ann Voskamp.

Our winter theme continues in our children’s’ section by such favorites as Ezra Jack Keats and Laura Ingalls Wilder. (Although with these balmy temperatures, maybe I should put beach books out!!)

We are your Lamppost…we light up your world with the enjoyment of literacy (both written and visual) all to light your way to HIM….our LORD JESUS! Come “check us out” this week and make a point to join us on February 24th!
