If winter comes, can spring be far behind??

“Ode to the West Wind”
In this in-between time of the year, when temperatures range from freezing to balmy (all in the course of a few hours!), there are still several things one can count as an absolute: God’s amazing grace through His Son Jesus, time marching inexorably on, and, here at Northeast….your Lamppost and the fun events we sponsor!
The next aforementioned soiree comes up FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH as we proudly team with Kids’ Ministry to bring you another CHURCH FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!
Bring your family, friends, and something to sit/lie on and join us in the Student Ministry Auditorium for a FREE showing of the family-friendly movie “The Secret Life of Pets.”
Doors open at 6 p.m. … movie begins at 6:30. We’ll also have some snacks available for sale for CHEAP, with all proceeds benefiting our wonderful Kids’ Ministry, so bring LOTS of CHANGE for some popcorn, candy, and soft drinks and kick back and enjoy a night out on us! It’s gonna be (Word of the Week) BONZER!
For this special event, we’ll have a VERY LIMITED supply of souvenir cups! Purchase one for $2… and you’ll get FREE refills on your favorite beverage all night long!
On the book front, we’ve got several new titles in that I’m quite excited about! Included in this list is the newest from NANCY (LEIGH) DEMOSS WOLGEMUTH Adorned:Living Out the Beauty of the Gospel Together; Nearing Home by Billy Graham; and for the kids, The Recess Queen by Alexis O’Neill and My Grandfather’s Coat by Jim Aylesworth.
We are the Lamppost… we exist to light up your world with reading (and fun literacy events) to light your way to HIM… our Lord and Savior… JESUS! Come “check us out” this week and join us on February 24th!
