June 18- Day 1

Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.- Psalm 145:4-7 (NLT)

VBS gives God’s people at NEPC the amazing opportunity to tell its children of God’s mighty acts. If you are serving, YOU get to tell the children of NEPC and NE Columbia about God’s mighty acts, especially the mighty act of love – sending Jesus to rescue us from sin. If you are an NEPC Kid then you get to HEAR these great acts of God, especially the act of sending Jesus to rescue YOU from sin.

As you contemplate this amazing opportunity will you take the time to do what the Psalmist encourages us to do? Will you think about the ways God has been wonderful to you? What story can you tell (worker, parent or kid) of God’s goodness in your life? It is as we experience His wonder and goodness that we can then tell one another so that they can then come to know the wonder and goodness of God as well.

Take a moment to answer those two questions above.

Prayer: God, we thank you that you showed us your wonder, goodness and love by sending Jesus to rescue us from sin. We thank you that VBS week many NEPC Kids and NE Columbia Kids will hear of your goodness. As we have experienced your wonder and goodness, help us to find ways to share that story with others. Amen.
